My mom found passage to the states with gold.
She ended up on Canal Street. Fluorescent lights, glass cases, chains on every wall. She learned Spanish so she could talk to her customers. Customers came back a few times a week. Some of them became family. She'd remember what you bought last time, what you were saving up for.
I grew up behind that counter. I can tell 14k from 18k by color because she taught me. She cared that every piece would last generations. I still care about that.
Most of what I sell now is vintage. One of a kind pieces I source myself, sometimes with her. When it's gone, it's gone. The silver is solid 925, made fresh. Nothing plated. Nothing filled.
And if you want something specific, we'll make it.
Vàng means gold in Vietnamese. ♡
